"On page 16 the fifth picture, the fellow second from the right is Milo (Mike) Thompson. He was stationed at Rothwesten from 1951 to 1954. We lived in the housing area from 1952 to 1953 when we were transfered to southern Germany.  He retired from the a Air Force in 1965 and passed away in October 1970 at the age of 43. I thought it was a great find to see his picture. It's been so many years since he passed away. I have so many good memories form our time spent at Rothwesten. Thanks for the memory!"
Marjorie Zurfehr

I asked Mrs. Zurfehr a couple of questions. She then added the following:

"Mike is the one sitting down with the cardboard on his head. He has sun glasses on down in the lower part of the picture. yes I was his wife at the time. I remarried and my second husband also retired from the Air Force after 28 years. He passed away four years ago after having a stroke. We were married 35 and 1/2 years. We also had a very good life together . Many happy times. Such good memories! Yes, you may post the information. I don't mind. Maybe others who were stationed with us will see it and comment also. Lots of fun! Thanks!"
